For Christmas my mom wants a digital camera/ photo printer combo that she doesn't need to connect to the computer to print photos. Here's the catch: She needs to be able to do basic editing on the printer. Does such a product exist?

We have the HP Photosmart 7760. We don't use it very often, but it does exactly what you describe.

Kodak makes some nice combos for the general user. I could be wrong but I think they do general editing.

i don't know about editing other than perhaps a little cropping, changing resolution and maybe colour depth.
