How do you test to see if a motherboard is dead?

How do you test to see if a processor is dead?

Does it matter if i put some memory in that said 2.6 volts and the motherboard says to put in 2.5 volts?

could that be what fried it if its fried?

it is good to put the right voltage and it could have possibly caused it but its not guaranteed. ive had my ram running on the worng volrage for a couple of months before i realized it and fixed it and its still fine.

the way to test if ur mobo and proc r dead is to get another mobo and proc that u know work. switch them and then if one works and one doesnt, u know which is the culprit

it works now and i didn't replace anything but the screen stays blank.

What should i do?

Found out whats wrong. The processor overheated.

Not sure if the motherboard overheated to but the cpu is definately dead.

..... were you overclocking? did you put on thermal paste? did you put too much thermal paste? why did it overheat?

I wasn't overclocking.

I didn't put thermal paste on cause the computer is 5 months old and i never took the fan off the processor.

it was custom built and the people who built it put thermal paste on it.

if the motherboard doesn't beep for bios that means that its fried right?

I found out that it is still under warranty so i think i will send it back for them to fix it.
