motherboard plate

I am about to buy a motherboard and I was looking at the "plates" that come with the board. On my case, (http://www.noion.com/item.asp?ID=24) the plate that comes with the case just pops out. I am wondering that when I get a motherboard will the plate attach itself to the case or the motherboard itself.

if your talking about the i/o plate on the back then it just pops onto the case not the motherboard
