Ok, I thought of this question today while browsing the internet. Newegg and zipzoomfly and other websites sell computer parts CONSIDERABLY cheaper than Best Buy or CompUSA or something like that. Which parts do you consider to be the biggest ripoff in stores? I think I might go with video cards, because those always seem to be $80-$100 dollars more in stores than online.

:::EDIT::: Upon closer inspection, power supplies are pretty freakin overpriced too.

They probably have bulk shipments, and they cater to the enthusiast crowd, so they know they will sell, unlike compusa or best buy. Not many enthusiasts go there to pick up their new motherboard, or new processor. They usually sell whole computers at those stores.

vid cards are absurdly xpensive...at circuit city the other day, i saw a Radeon X300SE for $240

those are worse (or on par with) than the MSI ATI mobo's ONBOARD graphics!

and that board is like $90?

annnyways, go for thermaltake silent purepowers or antec truepowers for 20pin PSU's
