Monitor problems

Hey guys, I got my new computer, but theres a prob with my monitor. When I turn my coputer on, everything is fine until the monitor turns off and the little light flashes. I made sure all the connections are good and still nothing. What am i doing wrong? I have a 19 inch CRT Daytek Monitor

did u build the computer or was it a premade deal?

It is a new monitor, and I did build the computer myself, and it is the LEd next to the power button.

please list your monitor manufacter name and the model. that blinking sounds like some sort of standby mode, did you try another monitor to see if it was the computer doing that?
