hellooo,

I about to start on a gaming computer and I needed a little help on monitor selecting. I understand LCD's are not quite "great" for gaming because the player will experience ghosting and other stuff. So I guess what I need is a CRT with a flat screen. Would any of you all know off hand what are the best CRT's out right now for gaming. If you guys could help me that would be great Thanks

i love this monitor to death, looks much better than any crt or lcd i have used or seen at that. it took my breath away when i played ut2004 for the first time on it. im rollin on a 5200fx and with this monitor on superbright mode, it looks better than a mid-range crt w/ a 9800 pro. looks awsome for movies too.

My viewsonic LCD plays Doom 3 on high settings flawlessly, it has a 16 milisecond refresh rate. It's outside of your price range though, you might be able to pick up a BenQ LCD with a 16ms refresh rate for that much though. But, you can get CRTs a lot bigger for the same price, I would still stick with viewsonic brand.
