laserjet 5p printer

I just got an old laserjet 5p printer. I connected it to my pc, and the pc loaded all the drivers, no problem( seemed to be true plug and play)
when i tried to print, it does some sounds, and then the top orange led goes on, and it does nothing.

there is no error message reported on my computer.

i tried looking at hps website, came up with zilch. please help

Ahhh....the 5p..... good ol' memories!

Anywho.....press the button on the printer after the orange LED goes on....does the page print after this?

the orange, the blue or some other button

Is there a rectangular button on the top of the printer?
