Yea ive had my laptop for about 1 1/2 years now. Its an acer and it gets used frequently for heavy duty tasks like hardcore gaming or running game servers. Anyways, recently it started taking extremely long times to do things, boot windows, load a windows xp profile, open a game. It has also experienced reboots which occur totally at random, even when it sits idle. All my thoughts point to either hard drive has gone bad, or there are major errors on the disk. So I inserted my windows xp cd into it so I could get to the repair prompt to run a chkdsk. While I do that, any opinions on what the laptop is doing?
