Is it possible (does anyone know how) to find the model of a motherboard through Windows? It was just an idea I was thinking about...I have to open my case tonight to grab the model number off my mobo, and like any good computer user, I'm lazy...

You can acertain the chipset on your MoBo through the device mangler -- but not the specific model. Otherwise you'll have to use a utility like AIDA32 to get that information.

Honestly, I need to start writing PC details on the boxes with a Sharpie. I hate crawling inside just to find a number, and I also hate digging through my file cabinet for my printed system specs.

Of course, I could always just remember what I have installed...

Let's see...33 PC's at work, plus the 7 at my own workspace, plus the 5 home machines...

Ah I give up! Where's my Sharpie?!?
