What amd processor is equal to an Intel Xeon 3.4 when gaming?

yeah, I searched it and the amd opteron 250 seems to pwn the intel xeon 3.4

dual core cpu's aren't really necessary at this point for gaming though correct?

No, and it's pointless to compare the Xeon, it's a SMP server CPU.

Xenon's shouldnt even register as a choice for gaming CPU's. check out the AMD 64's and higher end P4's.
