im now in possession of a socket 478celeron, anda socketA amd.(1 heat spreader, 1 die without spreader)
havnt touched them yet... the HSF's came with a thermal pad on it. so im gana just remove the pads and put arctic silver 5 on them instead.
im gana stick them in the freezer for a bit, scrape off the pad with plastic object. clean with papertowel+alcohol, then wipe with lint free cloth... apply AS5, slap it together.
i know its pritty stait forward, but since iv actually never put one together b4, i thought i should ask and see if anyone has helpfull tips or techniques that one may not know about without otherwise experiencing it. Thx.
