I print A4 color pages. My last printer was a brother inkjet that would do 50+ before a cartridge change on decent enough print. unfortunately the paper feed broke.
The HP 4630 guzzles ink to the point where a brand new cartridge printed 11 a4 pages for me on "normal" print. The "draft" print is very poor, but the "normal" print creates a page that's dripping in ink.
I need a middle ground that will look okay but use much less ink, as i cannot afford to run a printer like this
Is there other software I can use that will tell the printer to use less ink?
This review does state that the HP 4630 does guzzle ink. http://reviewsbucket.com/hp-officeje...rinter-review/
For the amount of printing your doing, you should consider getting a laser printer for the best cost on your ink usage
There are some software's out there that make a claim to use less ink, but I do not know if that's true
See if you can return it, you may get stuck with a re-stock fee but in the long run it'll be less than what you'll be spending on ink. Next time your interested in a printer, check out as many reviews on line as you can but it's best to find unbiased reviews from someplace that does not promote the printer they are reviewing
