Hello Ethan,

I would suggest first running Driver Cleaner Pro to remove your old drivers to prevent conflict. Then install the newest ones after a restart. You will end up restarting a couple of times. Once after Driver Cleaner Pro and then again after the new driver isntall but it will be much better in the long run.

Driver Cleaner Professional download from Guru3D.com

Also note that these are Beta Drivers. While they may give a 15% increase as noted they may not work on your setup as well. Beta drivers are not fully tested and not certified yet so you may not be able to run them if your drivers must be certified to work.

Cheers,
Mak

This helps, but I don't know what to do after I load that exe file I downloaded. What else do I have to do with the downloaded files?

[/NOOB]

Which file cant you run? Driver Cleaner? DX? Just click on the exe file and the DX installer will ask for a place to extract the files to. Jsut choose any location. Create a folder for it first. Then after the DX isntaller extracts just go into the folder and click the DX setup exe and it will go thru the install.

For Driver Cleaner it will give a slpash screen first. then click on it. Select Multiple Driver and then just add nvidia.

First step select multiple drivers:
dcp.png

Then select nvidia and add them then click run:
dcp2.png

It will run DCP and let you know when it has finished for you to restart.

Cheers,
Mak

Still not what I'm asking! :p

I downloaded the file from Nvidia, the driver update (From the first post of this thread). The download consisted of an .exe file, which I ran. I did what it said, and it installed stuff. Do I have to do anything with THOSE files now? Or did that exe do all the work as far as installing the new drivers?

If you went through the installer just restart the machine for them to take effect. That is it. Nothing more has to be done with a driver install.

Cheers,
Mak
