I currently (had) the following system:

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 @ 1.8 Ghz (400 FSB)
MOBO: ECS (Cheapest) 4x AGP
RAM: 256 MB (No Name Brand) DDR (PC2100)
GCARD: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (128 Mb)
HHD: Maxtor 60 Gb (IDE) 7200 RPM

I am upgrading to this:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
MOBO: Gigabyte PRO
RAM: 1 GB Corsair XMS Pro (PC3200)
GCARD: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (128 Mb)
HHD: Western Digital 80 Gb (8 Mb) (SATA) 7200 RPM

How big of a difference (in games of course) will there be? Will I be able to run any game over 60 FPS with FULL detail and AA/AF?

I really need some advice... PLZ!!

THANK YOU so much in advance for taking the time to read this, and respond!

what are you doing with your old computer?...i say keep it and use the parts (if that not what your doing already)

Check my specs. I played FarCry at 1280 * 1024 full blast and was over 40/50 fps most of the game (some minor drop at or around 30) So I'd say Yeah! no problem

PERFECT! Just what I needed to hear. Thx a lot everyone. I appreciate it.

P.S.: I am actually selling the old parts. Too many problems with old system (mobo sparking, hdd caught fire, psu was damaged), I am so fed up that I decided to buy a whole new system.
