I partitioned my hard drive when i installed windows into 2 partitions. I have been using the partition with windows this whole summer and just now found out the other partition isnt formatted. If i format th 2nd partition, will it wipe all the ata on the entire drive in the format process?

It will just format the partition that you want to format. You can format it in device manager in windows if you like. To completly get rid of the partition, you can use the XP cd, but that will format the whole drive. To get rid of the partition, but keep the data you already have, there is partition magic.

I dont want to get rid of the partition i just need to format that partition so i can put more files on there and i was just worried formatting the partition would wipe the whole drive

It won't in device manager, there is an option there to format just that section.

You cannot format the partition windows is running off of, so there is no worries there.
