Hi everyone, Im looking for an external hard drive and want some recommendations
Needs to be
Around 150GB
Have Firewire and USB(I think i want firewire?, i believe its faster)
As cheap as possible, but decent quality

This is a perfect example of wht im looking for:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....5456_W0QQfromZR40QQfviZ1&item=8774595456&rd=1

Any opinions on that one, or recommendations on other would be appreciated.
Thanks!

PS: do you people back up everything on the hard drive(like a complete copy), or only files etc that are important or that you have the CD for(games etc)?

I bought an IDE hdd, and an external enclosure, for 100 dollars (200GB's) its much cheaper then the external hdd's.

Chris_PC , i suggest youll read this thread http://www.techist.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96545
its about the advantages of buying an hd+external enclosure overa one piece external, not only in some cases its cheaper it also have several other advantages

as for the backup question , i have scheduled backup for the entire C partition every 3 days with acronis trueimage (cuz its running the os) and a daily scheduled backup for my important files with good sync

Ive already bought the one i gave a link to, it seemed to be a very good price with a 3 year warranty, 7200rpm and a 8MB buffer

Waiting less then A Day for replies is not a good idea.

Ste: I posted on another forums aswell and received around 10 replied in less than 30 mins, i dont normally do this, but this section of the forums doesnt seem to be very active. Sorry!

jeremy: I made sure it had a good warranty because ive heard that external HDD's aren't the most reliable things in the world!
