Hi, I was hoping some of you people who have been working with cpu for a while could answer me some questions because I can't find answers on the net after hours of trying.

On 8088, 8086 was there a multiplier range, package, socket/slot on these computers? If so what where they, please? If any.

On 80286, Multiplier range: ? If any.

On 80386DX, Multiplier range, Socket(s)/ slot used: ? If any.

On 80386SX, Multiplier range: ? If any.

On 80486SX, Multiplier range, Socket(s)/ slot used: ? If any.

On 80486DX, Multiplier range, Socket(s)/ slot used: ? If any.

On 80486DX2, Multiplier range, Socket(s)/ slot used: ? If any.

On 80486DX4, Multiplier range, Socket(s)/ slot used: ? If any.

On Pentium, Multiplier range: ? If any.

On Pentium Pro, Multiplier range: ? If any.

I would really appreciate any help provided. Thank you greatly.

if i remember correctly the multiplier was not introduced until the DX2 and DX4. until then the cpus had their clock speed synchronous to the BUS speed. Pentiums had multipliers ranging between 1 and 3 by stock (guessing). Pentiums featured on Socket 4 and Socket 7, Pentium Pros on Socket 8.

all from memory so don't take it as gospel
