Hi I am using a (2 year old) MSI 4x DVD +- /RW to burn media on to discs. When I try to read the disc on another comp with a new lite-on dvd combo it shows the disc as blank. It reads fine on the comp with the burner. I have updated the firmware for the burner and have XP Pro SP2 on both comps. The burner does take awhile to read any disc put into it but that could just be its design. I have used different blank discs which makes no difference.
Sometimes instead of showing all blank if I have 11 tv episodes on it then burn 1 more so the disc is pretty much full it will just not show half the eps that were working fine before on either comp.
Hope someone has heard of this odd behaviour before. I think I need to replace the burner. Thanks in advance for any advice.
