I never paid much attention to the dual core hype. Ok, a 2.2ghz dual core athlon x2.. does it have 2 1.1 ghz cores to equal a 2.2ghz.. or does it have 2 2.2ghz cores?

2 2.2ghz cores on one CPU chip, which equals a equiverlent 4200/4400 depending on which one you get.

hmm, since i play games, it wont do much good yet. but once games start being programmed to take advantage of dual cores, it might be worth the upgrade. damn with that much good ol amd power, games should have some pretty awsome physics in the future

Right now, save your money, as you have a top of the range system, and anything above that will feel pointless.

Btw. Are your graphics cards fighting each other with swords? *Dual

I dunno about 99% but pretty much any situation where there aren't a ton of apps running, basically if the situation doesn't lend itself to hyperthreading, Intel can't keep up.
