First post on board.....
Have at me I say! Kings and Knaves, stir my pride! (Is it good or bad?)
This is an offspring of a Tech TV episode of The Screen Savers I watched a while ago. It was a "Build a 500$ gaming rig" part, that was focused on creating a low price system and having great results (such as very decent FPS on UT2003, which was their base game)
I made my own modifications, and I am no computer expert, but I have been delving into them more lately. Can anyone with a nice knowledge base tell me if this is a good deal? Every part is purchaseable on New-Egg. I wanted to use Price Watch like suggested, but I found it too iritating going around to 10 different sites when I had one great one at my disposal.
These are the specs, and you won't believe the price. This is No E-Machines my dear friends. (Also, I believe everything is in coordinance with eachother. I am quite sure the RAM (266-2100) is supported on the motherboard.) Anyway -
EDIT!! - Earlier case didn't have power-supply,
SECOND EDIT! Uhhh. that case didn't have one either .....

I have an extra 512 of 2100 lying around, that is why I opted for 2100 instead of 2700.
And the grand total is -
*Drumroll*
367$ - I repeat, Three Hundred and Sixty Seven dollars.
(This does not include shipping, though from past experience, it shouldn't be terribly much. Regardless, it is under the 500$ mark that was set forth. Knowing my luck, something is wrong with this configuration, so can someone please tell me what it is? Any tips or suggestions would help, including parts recommended for exchange in place of these....)
Thanks!
(Edit - These parts were also suggested as the best overclocking parts - so I believe I can get a good 800-1100$ rig outa this after some hardcore tweakage)
