I bought thisadapter to let me use my PS2 controller on my comp. I installed the driver plugged it in and opened up Need for Speed. It opened but it just freezes it doesn't get past the loading screen. The same with Halo and UT2k4 demo. This only happens when the controller is plugged in. Why does it freeze? Is there some directx option that can be changed?

Did you try looking for newer drivers and patching your games?

Yup all of my games are updated. I did find this info on the adapter http://www.soyousa.com/products/proddesc.php?id=116 It doesn't work with XP. I don't understand though because I did get it working once but only once and the drivers installed from the disc w/o any problems.

The other link I gave you was for the Kiky Joy series not the x. but my converter says kiky-joy but it looks like and came in the same package as the kiky-x series-which does support XP I think. Maybe the problem has to be with using a PS2 controller instead of a PSOne controller. I think I'll try plugging in my PSOne controller tom. cause I'ts late and I got school in the morning. Thanks for the help.
