Hi, I have a second computer and its specs are the following,

Gigabyte GA-7VT600 1394
Amd athlon XP 2600+
Sapphire ATI radeon 9600 XT
512 DDR 400 PC3200 Ram
20 gig HD (old)

Ok, The MOBO is next to brand new, ( 2 weeks old )
It used to boot up fine all the time
after about a week it started hanging just before it says verifying DMI Pool data
But i just reset it about 3 times and it works again,
Now its like it has just given up, it wont even load it up at all
Ive tried everything, building it from scratch, takin all the cords out
everything
It still picks up the HD and my dvd rom and the ram fine on the boot screen
But wait theres more
another stupid thing is when im in bios IT WONT LET ME SAVE CHANGES... not to anything
I load default settings and i save and exit, Press enter on save and exit, Press y for yes, then it doesnt do anything just sits there tellin me that ive selected Y and waiting for me to press enter lol....
Ive had enough of this Mother board,
Could anyone please help me at all
thanks alot

I'm assuming you know how to run your keyboard so it's probably not user error - I would blame the motherboard. Contact your vendor for a replacement or credit.

I cant update it... doesnt the computer read the floppy after veryfiing dmi pool data?
i actualy got into my computer last nite it loaded up downloaded the bios updates and can i update it via Windows?
it doesnt load up the disk when i turn on the comp......

thanks
