I've been having a small problem with my CDROM. It starts running even though I haven't done anything to make it run. When it starts spinning my PC freezes for about 3 seconds and then the CDROM stops and everything's OK. Any ideas??

yea typically happens when windows needs to see what's in the cd-rom, meaning it'll spin up for a sec, to find what's there... sounds like you have an older os with that 3 second wait?

I had that problem back when I used to use Win95. What CD is it trying to read?

It's trying to read Medal of Honor and I have 98SE installed.

Quick solution: remove your Medal of Honor CD when you are not playing the game. What are you usually doing when this 3 second delay occurs?

Normally I'm just surfing or doing some work on word or excel.
