Buying a Laptop

IM looking into getting a new laptop and i was looking for feedback on this system:

Intel P4 3.05 ghz w/HT
512mb ddr sdram
60gb 5400rpm hard drive
dvd/cdrw combo drive
64mb ati radeon 9600
15.4 wxga screen

if you have unlimited money to spend on a laptop, which apparently you do, than go ahead and get it. those are impressive specs for a laptop, but if you want something affordable and reasonable get a p4 2.4Ghz with a generic onboard video card.

laptops were not made to play games while mobile. that 3Ghz cpu and 9600 will eat up your batteries in 1 hour or so if you play mostly games.

well the time i spend playing games it will be plugged into an outlet so i wont be wasting battery life, when im running solely on battery power then i wont be playing games

well if there is any gaming involved which looks like there is, then get the expensive system.

Thats a nice laptop, though the 3gig P4 is gonna drain your battery like you wouldn't believe

If its for gaming, then your set, but if you just want something powerful for everything none gaming, then look at P4-M's or even Centrino's
