I am going to build my first PC with my birthday money. Please tell me if this setup will work, and if I need anything else.

everything seems good. i like your choice of mobo. try and get a 400 or 480watt psu

The last 2 eVGA cards and the current one I own have random problems with overheating. I'm kind of leery on eVGA. Every thing else looks really solid, building a great computer for low price.

Yes, the stuff you picked will all be compatible. And actually, I think you will be very pleased as to how well it performs.

For a PSU, go with trustable brand name, like this one:

You could probably get away with 400W, but this one is on sale.

hmm i havent had a problem with my eVGA graphix card, the highest i have ever seen it go was 52*C that was in farcry with everything on high and and was playing for a good 2 1/2 hours.

Ha you'll have the same setup as me, cept for the ram. You might wanna look at 1 gig of ram, I bought the G skill 512x2 kit newegg has and it works great. You defiantly wont be disapointed, every game ive thrown at my rig it runs awsome at high and highest settings.

Nice setup tipsy thats pretty much the same setup i was looking at buying. Only difference is that I'm thinkin about gettin the abit an8 mobo

I would agree with a gig of ram, never seen this g. skill ram, but with a 2.0 CL latency it looks like it could OC nicely

@aspire.comptech, thanks. Main reason for the DFI was the cool UV sensitive sockets and cables But really happy with it SOOO many options in bios for OC'ing its insane. Ran 3dmark 2001 and scores 17778 points, dunno really if its good or not, but hell it runs everything i want better than i thought it would.

@DJ-CHRIS, Yeah i never heard of it untill like 3 days before my build and heard it was good Ocing ram so i decided to grab sum. Havent had a chance to try OC it, been to busy fragging peeps

What color do the glow is it the yellow color they are or what. Only reason i might not get is is that its the total wrong color to match my case which is silver with hella blue lights
