AMD 64 2800+ or AMD XP 3200+?

This is for a gaming computer, they're the same price, and I don't plan on doing any overclocking, also, a suggested motherboard would be very helpful too!

If you dont want to overclock then get the 3200 you can overclock the 2800 past the the 3200 stabely for cheaper.

Im pretty sure people use the asus nforce 2 motherboard a lot

Actually it's kinda hard to say which chip is better, through all the benchmarks it shows that some thing the 2800 does better than the 3200 and visa-versa.. in areas of benchmarking also.. So it's really up to, probably just go for which ever one is cheaper, even if it's a buck cheaper hehe

This is a good mobo for the 2800 Abit KV8-MAX3 K8T800 Motherboard

For the 3200 I'd stick to the Asus a7n8x - deluxe or e-deluxe boards..

In win 32 bits, Athlon Xp 3200++ better than AMD 64 2800++
But in win 64 bits, AMD 64 2800++ is better.
