Accidental Connection

accidentally removed my IDE cable while the pc was switched on.Now my pc is displaying nothing.I tried clearing the cmos,to no avail.What stands me to do?

Yeah. It seems to be working all of a sudden.But the problem i have now is that the hard drive is not detecting.

Why wher you messing w/ it while the computer was on in the first place?

Well, you most likely fried your HDD, as that is usually what happens when you unplug it while it is one.

And yes, why were you messing with it while it was one?
