About to purchase

I have been needing a decent computer for gaming for sometime and I would like your opinon on my selection. Also how long do you think this system would last?

Its similar to what I just got. Its good, but in the future, you might want to upgrade to more than 1GB memory for high-performance games. Also, the graphics card will do for now, but don't expect to run games on a high setting.

If you can spare some extra cash- beg, borrow or steal and you are dead serious about games I might suggest you look at a better graphics card too because in the end a video card is not something you want to have to upgrade in a couple of years. Spend at least 1/2 as much again (approx) on something like the 6800GT cards.

The 6600gt outperforms the 256mb x700, i would spend a little more a get one of those if possible.

I do like ATI but the fact is that the 6800GT or 6600GT will out perform the X700. If you can spend a bit more money, consider one of those two.
