7800gs?

Anyone have more information on this? I've read that it's confirmed to exist but I don't know when it will be released. I'm kinda hoping it will come out for AGP as well as PCI-E.

From what I have gathered, the reports about the 7800GS were a mistake.

nVidia acidentally released some engineering samples of the experimental 7800GS to testers. According to press releases, nVidia has no plans to produce the 7800GS in either PCI-E or AGP.

Too bad... but they are having enough troubles trying to keep up with the demand for the other 7800's.

I heard that nVidia try to clean out all the G70 Series cards right now in order to prepare for G71 next year, so the price of 7series probably going to drop recently.

i know this thread is kind of buried but i was searching for information on the 7800gs. the most reliable info i've seen is on anandtech.

most other information i've seen suggests that if it is released it will be AGP ONLY. god knows why. although if you look on that page it says the test model was pci-e.
