u cant be disappointed with one 4870x2, in some games dual x2's doesn't even win over a normal x2, screw the gtx 280 get a 4870x2!. a 4870x2 will handle anything on ur 24" for a while, when its getting old just sell it and get a new card, that way your not left with 2 cards that a 5870 will beat. there might even be new cards, or soon releasing cards by then anyway.

He just said he wants to use CUDA, which ATI cards dont have.

Yeah, since im trying to get a job to pay for a plasma as well i think ive made up my mind and im going with 2x 280GTX's (probably the new revision if its not too much more).... Cuda has won me over.

PS: I cant be running SLI when i use CUDA in CS4 or whatever can i? But if i remember correctly for things like Folding i can disable sli and run two separate clients??

You can just get a couple GTX 260 core 216, theyre much faster than the regular GTX 260, look for benchmarks and youll see.

Nah ive made my mind up, im getting two 280GTX+ when they come out. Im gonna stick to it.
