Re: Upgrading my 5 year old system with $500 [PART 2]

Woohoo! thank you so much!
OH and.
I've been posting this same thread in the steam forums, and one person said that my power supply might not be good enough.
This is what I have already: Newegg.com - Thermaltake Purepower W0100RU 500W ATX 12V 2.0 Power Supply 115/ 230 V UL, CUL, TUV, FCC, and CB certification - Power Supplies

Is this good enough?

It has 14A for +12v1 and 15A for +12v2

If both cost around the same, then the Intel build would be better because E7200 is faster (even if it is not overclocked) and consume less power. Moreover, it produce less heat than 6000+

Yeah bro, 6000+ is 125 watts and the E7200 is 65 watts. The 6000+ will get SUPER hot without the proper cooling. As well as E7200 being able to OC to 3.0ghz on air with that 20$ heat sink some one linked. You'll be able to hit 6000+ clock speeds and have over all better performance with an E7200.

The only reason I go AMD is because some of their chips are super cheap and well worth it. But anything beyond the X2 5000 Black Edition is not really worth buying.

That PSU is plenty, and if you already have it, i would stick with it.

Re: Upgrading my 5 year old system with $500 [PART 2]

Looks like this case: Newegg.com - Rosewill R5717-P SL 120mm Fan ATX Mid Tower Computer Case withTool-Free kits - Computer Cases has 120mm rear fan and slots for one 80mm and one 120mm side fan. Right? I can't tell if I can mount them on there. If I had to choose a case from this page: Newegg.com - $10 - $25, Rosewill, Computer Cases, Computer Cases, Computer Hardware, what is the best? I think the one I linked is the best. Right? 2 120mm and 1 80mm fans seems like a good thing.

If this case is okay, then I should buy my own fans right? I'm sure the 120mm fan that comes with the case is not that good.

What fans do you recommend? Not more than $15 please.

For the 80mm one, is this okay? Seems a bit cheap to be good. Newegg.com - MASSCOOL FD08025S1M4 80mm Case Fan - Case Fans

Thanks for the suggestions!

Re: Upgrading my 5 year old system with $500 [PART 2]

Newegg.com - XIGMATEK XSF-F1251 120mm Case Fan - Case Fans
Newegg.com - XIGMATEK XLF-F1253 120mm 4 white LED LED Case Fan - Case Fans

These are better, Ricanflow recommended them to me a while back

Idk why they charge so much to ship a fan.. lol

I guess I will get 2 of these
Newegg.com - XIGMATEK XSF-F1251 120mm Case Fan - Case Fans

So I should just get the 80mm that I linked? Seems okay.

Wow. Just for fans, that's around $35!!

Okay so far I have
2 120mm fans
1 80mm fan
CPU HSF

Thats almost $60 of cooling system! Hope it's worth it.
Came up with a new build thats $455 after all the rebates and all.
Plus $60 cooling system is $515.
Sigh.....
