my power supply had burned out for this computer set up this is a computer i bought a few years ago and i wanted to know how many watts of a power supply would run with my nvidia geforce 8500 graphics card without burning out my power supply and which power supply would be compatible with my motherboard and where i could find it

If that is a standard sized PSU, you could go with this: Newegg.com - Antec VP-450 450W ATX 12V v2.3 Power Supply

I don't think you would need more than 300w, but this is a higher quality PSU than the cheap ones HP uses.
