Barcode information help.

Hi guys i was just wandering, Is there any software or online website that enables users to embed certain information to a barcode, i.e. The price , info, website therefore enabling that barcode to be searched on any BARCODE mobile APP SCANNERS THAT SHOWS all the information and maybe a link of the product.

I have tried looking everywhere for a program or online website that enables this, maybe i am using the wrong keywords or not understanding the terminology of how this works.

If some one has any information would be helpful.

You'd want to use something like a QR Code to direct to a weblink. Then on that weblink you can have all of your info (price, info, name, etc.).

QR codes can only hold so much data:

So the less info you need in the barcode the better. Usually better to redirect from a weblink, that way your content (such as price, description, possibly even name) can be more dynamic rather than having to create a new QR code everytime you change a price or something similar.
