Hey guys, I got the Trojan.Win32.Buzus from a download a day or two ago.

kaspersky Pure 3.0 picked up the trojan immediately. I deleted the infected folder promptly

I ran the full system scan and Kaspersky found multiple areas infected with the trojan. The area it picked mostly seem to look like the recycle bin.

I emptied the recycle bin, and reran the full scan from the start again. It did not pick anything up. (I also used Spybot, CC cleaner, and Avast Free Antivirus which never picked up anything)

However, Kaspersky keep popping up everytime I restart my computer stating I have malware detected (Trojan.Win32.Buzus is being detected) . When I try to "process" the find, it does nothing.

How can I be sure that I no longer have virus? Please advise, thanks guys. Cheers!!!

Firstly, run a full scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware (the free version is sufficient - no need to activate the Pro trial), and post the log afterwards. Remove anything it finds: https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/

Next, run AdwCleaner and remove anything it finds as well. Post the log when it's done:
AdwCleaner Download

After that, run a scan with HiJackThis (as Administrator), and post the logfile here. Do NOT remove anything from HJT unless specifically told to do so - removing components from HJT can cause damage to your system:

Logs look fine.

Though you do have 2 AV's installed...you should NEVER have 2 competing AV's installed at the same time. Your conflict is most likely coming from there - Avast could have the virus in it's quarantine area, and Kaspersky keeps scanning Avast's quarantine, which keeps triggering the malware alert.

Get rid of Avast and keep Kaspersky.

I've actually never had an issue with these to AVs running at the sametime, but i will remove to make sure

Just because you never have in the past, doesn't mean it won't happen ;).

Having 2 active AV's at the same time can cause conflicts and be quite resource heavy - as every file will essentially be scanned twice.

Not a problem.

Are you still getting the popup on startup from Kaspersky after uninstalling Avast?
