Google acting odd

I open Google as my home page and it looks like it always does. I type something in for it to look for and the Google logo disappears and the search text window jumps up to the upper left.
Then it just sits there doing nothing.

I spent 2 hours running scans in safe mode using everything in my toolbox thinking it was a bug of some sort. BTW I have never seen combofix take more than 5 or 10 minutes to run even in safe mode. It took 25 minutes to complete the scan and then another 10 to publish the log report.

All the scans come back negative. Is it just Google misbehaving or is there some thing else I need to look for? I'm at my wits end.

I'll have that happen occasionally. You hit Enter or Search, right? Sometimes the auto-search doesn't work (I've seen it mostly not auto-search if I type in keywords that could be really vague and potentially bring back stuff like pr0n or something like that as I'm typing).

Setishock, you're not alone I'm just dealing with the problem now (by just using bing ).
