I have SBG6900-AC modeom router
and asus pce-n53 wireless card on my desktop

I can see the 5g network on my cellphone and other devices

but I don't see the 5g network from my modem router on my PC
while other 5g networks are visible

and also not sure if it is related but when playing Minecraft with my kid over wifi the connection drops frequently

and skype connection also is very bad when calling through my router but not when im at my mom's using same phone through her router it works much better

not even sure where to start troubleshooting
I already reset and upgraded and uninstall/reinstall drivers etc

5Ghz will have a shorter range, and wont penetrate walls as well as 2.4Ghz will. You would be best suited to staying on the 2.4Ghz band, there will be less packet loss provided there aren't a million 2.4Ghz devices around.

If you must have a 5Ghz network, try deleting the one that you normally use from your Wifi Networks list, and rescan, it should pop up.
