I am Marshall and I am an IT Help Desk/Desktop Support Technician.
This is a new position for me as I was solely giving remote IT support.
I am looking for ways of strengthening my skills as a Desktop Support Technician and want to move my way up to Network Administrator/Network Security Administrator.

Welcome to the forums, and if you want my advice lean to listen and get older references.
This might be a UK thing but I have heard older people call the windows vista an 7 start button "The thing that looks like a battenburg cake" and if your doing it for a larger work force get used to dumbing a "It can't happen for technical reasons" to job level things such as "A ram upgrade wont work as that would be like putting a Farrari engine into a Ford Fiesta", etc.
