USB stick memory damage

I recently received back a USB stick that I sent into a company to have the data recovered after the stick broke. They formatted it into FAT32, however I cannot plug the USB stick into my Xbox without it prompting me that it will erase the memory upon making it a memory device. I have the data on my laptop, I just need to know what to do in order to get the memory back onto my xbox. Any suggestions?

The xbox probably wants it in a certain format, Try letting it format it the way it wants it then put the data on it from your laptop and see if it will accept it then, Some systems are funky like that for some reason, I have one thumb drive that goes into one PC with no issues but others it wants to formay but will still read it LOL, I don't save important stuff on that one.

I strongly advise against using any data device you get back from data recovery if it's not a new device as the device is already damaged at that point.
