its a fantasy world created by the best-selling Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski (never read any of the books though i believe they have recently been tranlated into english), you can read up on it on any gaming site i.e. gamespot, IGN.. believe me its worth a read, and check out the trailers and screenshots. the games been in development for somet like 3 years now.
