I used to do this, not only can you convert laptops to picture frames, you can also hang them on walls in areas and have them as media players. If you use windows 7 with media center you cam create a new work through out the house and watch movies, listen to music or surf the web any where you want. Some of the older DV laptops by dell where perfect for this. 17" screen, and IR remotes. I also like the Toshiba laptops with testable and touch screen interface
