S.O.E Sells $25 Everquest 2 Mounts

With the multi-million dollar success Blizzard had with selling in-game mounts, Sony Online Entertainment says it would like to hop on the fun too. Get it, hop on.. mounts? No one? Bueller?

For $25, you can purchase one of two versions of the mount: a Fierce Prowler, which improves its rider's combat abilities, or an Arcane Prowler, which boosts spellcasting abilities.

OMG! First we got the free asian MMORPGs that required you to spend money on ingame items. Then there is Cyptic with thier Cryptic points which allow you to purchase in games products, services and customisations. Then you had Blizzard coming up with My-Little-Pony. And now is EverQuest 2.

I am totally against buying stuff in game with real cash. Back in the EQLive days if you saw someone with uber armor or weapons you knew they worked hard for it. Not anymore, if could be someone who is in their first hour of play but has lots of cash.
