Actually, no. They seem to only run upper 80's for utilization, around 86-89%.

Just wanted to show that this is the power of a GPU. This is a single Titan X running for a little over a day. We went from a 2000 average to over 400000 average and my 24 hour average hasn't settled yet. So SPud, although I respect your wanting to tinker with all the old parts but if you're really serious about folding all you need to do is get one GTX 970. You'll do 3/4 my output on stock with very little heat output. Something to think about.

Nice. I think I might buy a 980. My 560ti is getting old and I can cheaply fold on it.

Funny thing, I bet that 980 would fold colder and use less wattage than the 560ti.

Yup, which is why I've never turned it on. My 770m gets around 7k last I knew/remember anmd the 560 was worse.

Not overly as a gpu has thousands of "cores", the ****ty part is a $600 980 kills my $1800 2p xeon system.

Idk how long ago you built it, but I'm sure you should have known that GPUs would completely destroy CPUs in folding at cost.
