if it is a driver issue, then why install the driver? it should work perfectly fine with out the driver. Well either way, i want to get another card going, i don't fold all day on weekdays, so having two cards going for the same time would bring it up a lot.

You can not fold without the driver. You need Cuda to fold and it is in the driver not to mention the driver tells your card how and what to run.

You can run monitors off a card without a driver for it....but i did not know it was needed to fold. Well that blows, hopefully i can still get my 9600gt working, by the sounds of it, probably not though.

I really need to check my folding numbers, I am pretty **** sure I am well above the 40k mark by now.
