i just performed a few zone alarm quick scans, got rid of 10 spyware, and did a full scan after, and caught 1 high-rated spyware, surf sidekick, and i did an in-depth virus scan, and no viruses were found! :)

Im just wondering if my system's fine, and why im getting spyware faster than viruses. If something is wrong with my system, i'll install a different OS.

looks clean to me.. depends what sites u go into.. its easy for advertising to slip spyware into your computer .. especially if your going into serial sites.. make sure your popup blocker is set on high (this will not cover you 100% tho) in internet options.

i have the IE pop-up blocker already on high.

If i install more spyware removal programs, will that help me more than just using zone alarm?

Yes, but be careful with so-called "free" software because often they have their own spyware! I speak from painful experience. Can you say "hard reformat"?

Learning my lesson my current PC has a router, Zonealarm Pro firewall, Norton Anti-virus (which catches baddies quite well), and Webroot. Haven't had any problems since.

downloading software such as ad-aware, spybot, spy sweeper wont mess up your pc. Norton however...i've had trouble with.

yeh id have to agree there.. ive had nothing but trouble with norton on countless computers i dont no why but its just (in my opinion) not good software.

If you have a complete install of all of Norton products I would agree having done that in the past. It is CPU intensive, making a lot of demands on your PC. But I have found that just running the anti-virus I don't take any performance hit whatsoever.

Wth is a "hard reformat"?

Talldude: Stop using IE, and Consider Opera or Firefox.

Also PM Microbell for more assistence with your log and infection problems.
