if i overclocked my agp thru my easytuner on the motherboard, but left the videocard stock, could it fry the chip on the motherboard which would give me artifacts now. or is my card just gone

overclocking the AGP slot can screw up the mobo and/or the card. Theres no point in boosting the AGP slot frequency beyond 66MHz so don't do it.

Could very well be why your card is acting up though if you have already done this

yup i did,my tuner just automatically does it to overclock cpu,so even with it at default settings i still get artifacts.nubius do yhink it would be my mobo or expensive card, any way to check besides swapping parts

Couldn't tell you. It gets raised because you're raising the CPU FSB, and the number 1 rule of thumb besides heat of course is if you can't lock your AGP/PCI bus then you don't need to overclock until you get a board which can lock those busses.

Like I said though without swapping parts I don't know what exactly it'd be, probably the card
