LCD vs LCD?

I heard that certain brands or makes can actually be more harmful to the eyes even though LCDs have a reputation of being easier on the eyes...anyone have any knowledge on this?

well spfd if ya changed yer resolution down from 1600x1200 and also sat ANYWHERE near the computer you might not hurt yer eyes lol just messin with ya

I Never heard of that, I just always heard that CRT's were better for games than LCD's

the LCD's have a better picture but are a bit slower than the CRT's

LCD is definitely better than CRT in terms of eyes-friendly. CRT generates Gamma Radiation but LCD dun. I can stay in front of the LCD screen for hours without getting much tired, but i cant do that on CRT display for more than 4 hrs (chest pain).

But do note if ur LCD is a XGA, SXGA or UXGA interface. XGA is cheapest of the trio. For 15" LCD, 400:1 contrast ratio and 260cd is more than enuff. Philips 150S4 is a SXGA interface, i believe its phrasing out by a newer version but runs on XGA interface.
