He said he doesn't know how to upgrade the netbook, meaning he needs to know the procedure about upgrading the netbook. He didn't say anything about what kind of RAM it takes.

Upgrade.... what? The RAM? that's about all you can upgrade. The HDD being the other thing.

OP didn't specify whether or not they already knew what kind of RAM it needed or not. If he needed instructions, he could have posted back and said that.
