Hmmm, how many points can you get in 3dmark06? A 6000+ stock @ 3ghz gets about 2231, so mine @ 3.2 would get somewhere around 2400, which is 132 less than a E6850 stock at 3ghz.
 
My e6300 is currently at 3.1GHz. I doubt that yours could hang with mine at these speeds.

your right for sure.. that 3600+ Brisbane system was nice, but even @ 3.0ghz it didn't stand a chance to my friends e6600 system or my e4300 system in Benchmarks, and I used almost the same stuff...
 
its a might or might not situation, with that Windsor Core, u may see some Heat Issues, and possibly some loudness once u hit 3.6ghz-ish..

2910 in 3dm06. I also get 17.843 seconds superpi 1M.

its a might or might not situation, with that Windsor Core, u may see some Heat Issues, and possibly some loudness once u hit 3.6ghz-ish..

and also the question of if it can get that far.

Nice, those are core extreme speeds am i right? Too bad i dont oc so we could have a battle lol, but i bet that 6400+ can get closer than i can.

u forget that the cache also plays some role in it, and urs is Half of a Windsor would have, I'd say its closer to 2300
