bah... never owned a e4400.. so i don't wanna judge... but i certainly wouldnt settle for one myself.. i'm just picky though i'd go for at least a 6550.. imean.. they don't cost alot

dont go by the naming scheme....they are very similar in performance and overclockabiliby
:edit: wow the fx-62 beats the e6600 in a lot of those tests
 
i dunno guess it really depends what you do.. i'm a graphic designer... and use multiple applications pretty often... i had the fx62 have its hickups on me.. so a e4400 wouldnt do me too well

i like to have no hickups, or slowdowns... time is money
 
if i wanted to do any upgrading though i would need to get a new mobo, so while the cpu is still worth something i figure i can sell my rig and get the stuff i would want anyway, nice gpu + ram, i need to shell out for a mobo, so might as well get a nicer cpu while im at it.
