I'm building a computer for my brother and have to keep it under $1400 US. Could you please review the listed components and rate them for performance compared to price. He will be doing primarily gaming, but will surf the internet some too. The whole thing will be oc'ed as well. Also, did I forget anything? Thanks in advance!

you picked a lot of top quality parts, however I found a few things you could save money on.

Memory, while the HZ's are really good, they're not much, if any better then these

and the Ballistix are a lot cheaper.

Video card, While the GTS 320 is a great video card, since the 8800GT came out I suggest waiting till they come back in stock and order one of those, or wait for the new Ati equivalent.

Also the only AMd processor worth somewhat getting is the 5000+ Black Edition, as it's unlocked multiplier comes in great handy, other than that, go Intel, even with cheap processor's the E2160 is tough to beat.

With that large of a budget, you'd be much better off going Intel. You would get *much* more performance.

The 8800GT out-performs the current 8800GTS, and is cheaper. Get the 8800GT instead.

Other things look okay. This is the build I would do. Comes out to $1100 before shipping. Leaving you with enough room to get a monitor.

Pretty good there

although Iam not fond of that case.. besides its hefty price (and weight) Iam still not so sure about blowing hot air from the PSU - UP onto everything.. something tells me that blowing hot air on things you want to keep cool is just not going to help much.

and hey I remember that moni- lol. I won't be getting one for a looong time but oh well.
